Over Black Friday? Try Giving Tuesday!

charity_1_14310243_8colWe’ve been bombarded with sales this week in the lead up to Black Friday, one of the UK’s biggest shopping days. But Christmas is the season of giving so we’re kicking off December by taking part in Giving Tuesday!

We’ve joined more than 1,000 UK charities and businesses as an official partner of #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving at the start of the festive season.

Led in the UK by the Charities Aid Foundation, Giving Tuesday takes place on December 1 and is an opportunity for charities, families, businesses, community centres and students to come together to do something good for a cause they care about.

We are hoping to fundraise for carers at Christmas which can be a difficult time.

Giving Tuesday is a chance to connect with the local community and share and celebrate all the great work our staff and volunteers do, as well as giving us a chance to thank donors and raise awareness.

We’re asking for people to give £3 this Giving Tuesday to support carers over the Christmas break, which can be an isolating and stressful time.

You can donate online here or share with your friends. Or you might want to get together and hold your own fundraiser or even volunteer with us. Get in touch on 01761 431 388! Get involved on social media by using #GivingTuesday.
